A village on the River Arun upstream from the town Arundel. The old roman road Stane Street passes through the Village which it is dominated by a long main street with a wide variety of shops. The river plays an important part in Pulborough – it floods in periods of bad weather and therefore restricts the development of housing to north of the flood plain and has payed an important part in the development of Pulborough over the centuries. The brookland itself has been turned into a wild bird reserve and is open to the public. More information on Pulborough brooks can be found on the website www.rspb.org.uk There is a good mix of social and sporting activities in Pulborough which all contribute towards the strong community life. PULBOROUGH VILLAGE DIRECTORY is published every September with details of the sports, social and community facilities in the village. It is delivered to all the homes in Pulborough, West Chiltington and villages surrounding villages.
The publication of the Directory is made entirely possible by local trades and services that advertise in the Directory. A complete listing of these services can be found on the trade listings page on this web site. |
