Set side by side these are two very contrasting Villages which in many ways make up their own community. Bramber is a charming old world village steeped in history - a new road by-pass makes it a very quiet village which is dominated by the ruin of a Norman Castle which was destroyed by Oliver Cromwell but even in its' ruined state is still a major attraction to tourists. The River Adur divides the villages of Bramber Beeding . Beeding has the majority of modern housing while Bramber has older style, flint houses in the very attractive main street. It is well worth a visit in the summer months to see the baskets and tubs overflowing with flowers. The combined Villages have a good community life with many sports and social activities. All details of the churches, schools and sports and social clubs can be found in the BRAMBER BEEDING VILLAGE DIRECTORY which is published every June and delivered to all the homes and businesses in Bramber Beeding.
The publication of the Directory is made entirely possible by local trades and services that advertise in the Directory. A complete listing of these services can be found on the trade listings page on this web site. |
