A small village with a population of about 1,800. It benefits from being located close to the town of Haywards Heath with its shopping centre, leisure facilities, swimming pool and hospital. Balcombe itself is on the main London to Brighton railway line with good links to London and the south coast. There are various small shops within the Village including a Post Office. The hall has an interesting history and fascinating murals. The Hall is well used by a variety of clubs and societies which thrive in Balcombe and contribute to a good social network within the Village. Details of these can be found in the BALCOMBE VILLAGE DIRECTORY. It is published each May and is delivered to all the homes in Balcombe. The village also has a very interesting and comprehensive website. Please visit: www.balcombevillage.co.uk
The publication of the Directory is made entirely possible by local trades and services that advertise in the Directory. A complete listing of these services can be found on the trade listings page on this web site. |
